CK-12 is a free curriculum that is designed to be customized by the user. You can use provided complete digital textbooks or create your own "flexbook" by choosing your own modules to add to your scope and sequence. It is designed to work on any platform.

Quizzes, teacher manuals, labs and others are available for some courses. Students can highlight, bookmark and take notes directly in the program. The digital textbook allows for authors to pull resources from all over the internet and implement them directly into the lesson. For math, Khan Academy lessons are integrated right into the text.

Complete curriculum or concept books are available. Modalities are concepts broken down into lessons that you can choose from to add to your own flexbook. This makes them perfect for homeschoolers that want to fill in some gaps quickly or create their own spine.

As you create your Flexbook, you create a concept map that makes it self-directing for independent work. Your Flexbook will be automatically formatted for eReaders, HTML or you can download your Flexbook as a PDF. To customize it further, you can import your own documents from Word or Google Docs. Exercise generator and downloadable worksheets are available. Simple registration and quick sign in through Google, Facebook and Twitter make it extremely easy to use.
